Learn More about Our Chiropractic Clinic in Killeen, TX
Dr. Sidney Isdale's parents moved to Killeen over 70 years ago when Ft. Hood was known as Camp Hood. Dr. Sid's mother was constantly sick. Long before Dr. Sid became a chiropractor, he recalls his mother going from one doctor to another trying to find out what was wrong with her. She tried every medicine and medical treatment that was available at the time. None of them helped. A friend told her about Dr. R.L. Cochran, a local chiropractor. Dr. Sid's mother was willing to try anything to stop the constant pain she was in. Dr. Cochran examined her and found a spinal problem in her neck that was causing nerve pressure. He started treating her by gently adjusting the vertebrae in her neck. In a very short amount of time, the problems she had put up with for her entire life, started to clear up. During that same time, her son, Sidney Isdale, was getting out of the Navy and looking for a profession. After witnessing the great response his mother had with chiropractic care, he was so impressed that he decided to go to chiropractic college!
Dr. Sid continued to help patients for 56 years until his untimely death in May 2005. Four of his five sons have followed in his chiropractic footsteps to become doctors of chiropractic. The other son is in the education field. (Yes, they love him, too!) Dr. Scott, Dr. Shawn, Dr. Stan and Dr. Dallas (Dr. Shawn's son-in-law) work together in Killeen, while Dr. Skip practices in Temple.
In September 2003, Dr. Jason Degenhardt (Dr. Scott's son-in-law) and then in September 2005, Dr. Shane Isdale (Dr. Scott's son) joined the practice. Dr. Shane and Dr. Jason now practice in Harker Heights at Corrective Chiropractic & Wellness.
